About

Stories about people who are gloriously imperfect.

I'm Claudia Pilon, a German author living in Canada. I've been writing for many years and have explored different genres along the way, including thrillers, nonfiction and romantic comedy.

Today my focus is romance: low spice, high emotion, with humour woven into the story. I love writing imperfect, relatable characters and relationships that feel real rather than perfect — the kind where the messy parts matter as much as the tender ones.

I write and publish in both English and German, connecting my German roots with my life in Canada. My current project is the Under the Rotor series, inspired by my long-time fascination with helicopter rescue teams, but I plan to keep exploring new romance stories and characters in the future.

What to expect

My kind of romance & who it's for

If you like your love stories emotional and character-driven, with humour, depth and relationships that feel lived-in rather than perfect, you'll feel at home here.

01
High Emotion

Feelings first. Stories that sit with you long after the last page.

02
Low Spice

Closed-door warmth. The tension lives in longing, not explicit scenes.

03
Real Humour

Because even the hardest days come with something worth laughing about.

04
Imperfect People

Characters with scars, doubts and stubborn streaks — not polished ideals.

05
Worlds Worth Visiting

Rescue crews, mountains and small communities where every call matters.

06
English & German

Every book is written and published in both languages, by me.

I don't write perfect people. I write the ones who show up anyway — with bad timing, dry humour and a heart that refuses to give up.

Reader reviews

What readers are saying

A few words from readers of the Under the Rotor series.

I laughed on one page and cried on the next. The characters felt like people I actually know — flawed, funny and worth rooting for.
Sample reader review
Exactly the kind of romance I love: all the feelings, none of the explicit scenes, and a rescue crew I'd follow anywhere.
Sample reader review
Ich habe beide Bände an einem Wochenende gelesen. Warm, ehrlich und mit genau der richtigen Portion Humor.
